Chief Leland Stottlemeyer

Chief Leland Stottlemeyer has led the Liberty City Police Department since 2023, following a distinguished career with the San Francisco Police Department. A former homicide captain, he is known for his practical judgment, direct leadership style and decades of experience handling complex investigations.

After retiring from the SFPD and briefly working in private security, Stottlemeyer returned to public service when he was appointed Chief of the LCPD. His administration emphasizes officer accountability, investigative standards, practical crime prevention and close cooperation with the Liberty City Sheriff's Office and other law enforcement agencies.
