About Liberty City

Liberty City is a global center of commerce, culture and public life, shaped by generations of residents across five distinct boroughs.

History of Liberty City

Founded in the early 18th century as a small Atlantic trading post, Liberty City grew into one of the most influential metropolitan centers on the Eastern Seaboard. Waves of immigration, industrial growth and civic reinvention shaped the city’s identity.

From a colonial port to a modern urban hub, Liberty City has remained a center for business, culture and innovation. Its skyline and neighborhoods reflect centuries of ambition, resilience and change.

City anthem

The Anthem of Liberty City is played at civic ceremonies, parades and community gatherings. It is adapted from “Mein Herr Marquis” from Johann Strauss II’s Die Fledermaus.
